Cure Magnesium Migraines With  Supplements..

Migraine

Magnesium migraines start from a like of, or a deficiency of magnesium in the body.

Magnesium is the 11th most abundant element by mass in the human body. Its ions are essential to all living cells.  Magnesium compounds are used medicinally as common laxatives, antacids ( we've all took the next one sometime or another in our life), milk of magnesia, and in a number of situations where stabilization of abnormal nerve excitation and blood vessel spasm is required. What happens when the blood vessels go into spasm?

If you have to go to the ER with a migraine, and they give intravenous magnesium, the headache can be stopped in its tracks. Swallowing magnesium doesn't have the same effect.

By taking a supplement each day for magnesium migraines

Magnesium is involved in quite a number of crucial bodily functions. From the heart to balancing blood sugar. Migraines come from spasms of inflamed blood vessels in the head and magnesium overseers by:

  • Magnesium relaxes muscles and prevents the buildup of lactic acid. Lactic acid along with muscle tension, can  make a head hurt worse.
  • Magnesium prevents the formation of tiny  clots that can block blood vessels, and cause pain.
  • When the brains neurotransmitters and inflammatory substances are not balanced, magnesium steps in and regulates that action.
  • Magnesium relaxes blood vessels, and allows them to dilate, which then reduces the spasms and constrictions that cause migraines.

Although this wasn't a controlled study, when 3,000 migraine sufferers  were given  200-Mg of magnesium daily they ended up with an 80% reduction in their migraine symptoms. That raised a lot of eyebrows.

A deficiency in magnesium can trigger migraines and cluster headaches as well, but magnesium has been found to tame the fury of cluster headaches as well as migraines. Relief was found using a magnesium supplement.
